Building Construction 2 (ARC 2513)
Project 1 // A shelter for one
In a group of 5, we were required to construct a shelter for 1 that can fit at least one person in sitting position (1:1 scale),
and shelter demostrating the knowledge of skeletal frames and its joints and reflection of actual joints
We are required to use recycled materials with the raeltion to its function.

At the end of this project, I am able to:
1. Understand skeletal construction and its joints.
2. Know the strength of shelter.
3. Design a shelter based on originality and practicality.
4. Find and use appropriate and recycleable materials.
5. Document and make an analysis report.
Project 2:
Understanding Forces in Solid Structure and Surface Structure
The Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao
In the group of 5, we were required to propose 3 buildings that have a combination os skeletal, solid and surface construction. Upon this proposal, we were required to select a building using at least 2 DIFFERENT TYPES of structural system.
Upon plenty of discussions, we decided to use The Guggeneheim Museum Bilbao by the very famous Frank Ghery. We were also required to build up the structure or a part of the buildign which clearly shows the 2 systems mounted on an A3 site base.
The scale in which we decided to use was 1:200 for the mass model and 1:75 for the exposed model. Besides having to build the model, we were also required to immitate its materials or choose materials which falls closest to the actual material.

At the end of this project, I am able to:
1. Understand the function of solid, surface, and skeletal construction.
2. Able to deisgn the model that we are making with originality and practicality.
3. Improve the workmanship of the model.
4. Produce a analysis booklet for this project.
